Speaker & Subwoofer Sizing Calculator

Quick Rule of Thumb

Small rooms (< 1,500 cu ft) work well with a single 10–12″ subwoofer and 85+ dB speakers. Medium rooms (1,500–3,000 cu ft) need a 12″ sub (or dual subs for reference levels) and 87+ dB speakers. Large rooms (> 3,000 cu ft) require dual 12–15″+ subwoofers and high-efficiency 90+ dB speakers.
