They don’t create a lot of noise, and their continuous battery life of 25 hours makes them ideal for long days on the road. They can block out background noise in an office scenario, including as chatter from coworkers, thanks to its ANC feature.

Their active noise cancellation (ANC) feature has trouble blocking out bass-heavy background noises like bus and jet engines, so they might not be perfect for your commute. Their built-in microphone has poor recording quality, and they’re just adequate for making phone conversations. The JBL Live 460NC Wireless are the best JBL headphones we’ve tested with an on-ear design. With a metal-reinforced headband and faux-leather ear cups, these wireless headphones feature a good build quality. They’re also reasonably comfortable, breathable, and include a simple onboard control system. They offer a very neutral default sound profile with a little of more thump and rumble in the bass area, and its ANC function provides adequate noise isolation. It may also be adjusted with a parametric EQ and presets in the accompanying app if you want a different sound. They also offer a lengthy continuous battery life of just under 30 hours, which means they won’t need to be recharged every day, as well as an auto-off timer to save power while you’re not listening to audio.

Their fit on your head may be a little snug, especially if you wear them for long periods of time. They may also not be perfect if you make a lot of phone calls because the integrated mic muffles your voice and has a hard time distinguishing it from surrounding noise. If you appreciate the ventilated on-ear design, they provide a well-balanced, adaptable sound and a somewhat versatile performance.
