The Cloud Revolver S is a wired gaming headset that can be used on both consoles and personal computers. Many individuals, including ourselves, are major supporters of the design. The earcups are made of a soft-touch rubberized material that is extremely comfortable to wear. Furthermore, the steel frame gives it a lot of rigidity. On both earcups, the HyperX logo is prominently displayed in a soft white tone.
A self-adjusting headband rests beneath the metal frame for added comfort. Because the clamping force is modest but secure, this works surprisingly effectively. The memory foam earcups also contribute to a pleasant listening experience. The detachable boom microphone is well-made and versatile. We like how it’s detachable, so people can easily plug it in when they need it. The microphone’s noise suppression is superb, and the voice clarity sounds natural and has a slight boom to it, which is ideal for clear communication.
The sound quality is outstanding of these surround sound gaming headsets. The bass proudly establishes its territory here, as it does with most gaming headphones. The rumbling, on the other hand, is tight and controlled. The mids are silky smooth and flow beautifully, and the highs are bright but not harsh. In terms of surround sound, the 7.1 function performs admirably and is especially beneficial in games with excellent sound design.
Overall, this is still the greatest gaming headset with 7.1 surround sound.

SENNHEISER PC 373D – 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset
- Immerse yourself in the game with Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound
- Sennheiser Transducer Technology lets you hear every detail in the game
- Shape the sound to your gaming needs using the customizable surround sound software
While many competitive gamers may be unfamiliar with Sennheiser, audiophiles will appreciate its inclusion on this list. In case you didn’t know, Sennheiser is a well-known name in the world of high-end audio. Fortunately, the Sennheiser PC 373D headset comes up to its moniker.
Sennheiser gaming headsets are known for their high build quality and stylish appearance. Despite the matte black plastic, it looks and feels far superior to most of the flamboyant gaming headsets on the market. A few red highlights can be found here and there. The microphone can be flipped up but is not removable. A small volume knob on the left is another distinguishing feature of this one.
Inside, the drivers are slanted for improved comfort and sound. Aside from that, the velour cushioning is really soft and forms a good seal. They feel amazing on the head, no matter how big or small it is. It also comes with a detachable wire for connecting to the 7.1 USB dongle. The presence of Dolby surround sound was indicated by a single button on this dongle.
In terms of the microphone, it produces a very clear signal. It can, however, come across as nasally. It’s likely that a lot of processing is going on here. Fortunately, it’s understandable and adequate for conversation. Instead of using the EQ presets, you can use the default sound signature. In any case, it sounds nicer that way.
The treble is bright and clear, the bass is rich and warm, and the middle is punchy. When you add in a wonderful soundstage, the 7.1 surround sound is just the cherry on top. While we wouldn’t recommend using 7.1 with this headset for music, it can make a significant difference when gaming. This is without a doubt one of the best solutions we’ve seen. This would have easily taken the top slot if the EQ software had been more fleshed out and the mic had sounded a little better. Despite these minor flaws, it still receives a solid recommendation.

Corsair HS60 Pro Surround Gaming Headset
- Headset Frequency Response 20Hz - 20 kHz..Headphones fit type:On-Ear.Headphone Sensitivity 111dB (plus / minus3dB)
- Adjustable ear cups fitted with plush memory foam provide exceptional comfort for hours of gameplay
- High-quality custom-tuned 50mm neodymium Audio drivers superb sound quality with the range to hear everything you need to on the battlefield
For competitive gamers in particular, Corsair specializes at producing high-quality peripherals. They are aware of the value of a good headset and how it might give them an edge. The Corsair HS60 Pro is designed with this philosophy in mind. It also works well as a headset for music listening.
The “HS” lineup as a whole uses the same design aesthetic as this headset. Those who enjoy minimalism will appreciate the low-profile matte black design. Although these headphones have closed backs, the grill pattern on both earcups gives the idea that they have an open back. They feel substantial and are expertly constructed.
The cushioning feels high-quality and won’t irritate the skin, in my opinion. The memory foam earcups offer a small amount of swivel. Unfortunately, larger heads may find the interior to be a little shallow. At first, it may feel a little tight against the years in terms of clamping force. So, you’ll need to gradually break them in.
The sound design is excellent for video games. Even in stereo mode, you can quickly locate the enemy. To hear and feel the gunshots and explosions, turn on 7.1 surround sound. Because it is powerful and deep, bass also stands out. The mids sometimes sound a little muffled, but the treble is nice. The deep bass is probably to blame for this.
The mic quality is adequate for Discord, though not the finest in the world. Even though we have undoubtedly heard better, it is reasonable. The EQ can also be adjusted using the iCUE program. Overall, the headset is a terrific deal if you don’t want to shell out outrageous sums of money for an expensive 7.1 headset.
