Best Turtle Beach Headsets 2022

In the year 2022, a Turtle Beach headset is a great location to start your search for one of the best gaming audio experiences available. Turtle Beach is a long-established household name across all platforms, with years of experience that has resulted in a modern, complete product line. The Stealth, Elite, Recon, and Atlas lines from Turtle Beach cover a wide range of costs and features, including support for PC, consoles (including the Nintendo Switch), and mobile devices. What’s the difference between a Turtle Beach headset and any other headset? The most significant distinction is that they were designed from the ground up to play games.

Everything from the mic to the way the speakers are calibrated to the level of comfort you can expect reflects that design mindset. After all, if you’re going to be wearing something on your head for hours on end while playing games and conversing with pals about games, it better be comfortable. Thankfully, Turtle Beach’s entire product line is really gentle on the head. You can get a very remarkable sound experience if you’re willing to spend a lot of money, but even the entry-level headsets will feel and sound great.

The Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 SuperAmp is the best Turtle Beach headset for gaming. These wired gaming headphones have a USB device called a ‘SuperAmp,’ which allows you to mix sounds and adjust volume on the go. The amp for all models is entirely compatible with PCs, however you must purchase either the Xbox One or PS4 variant for it to work correctly with your console. To access EQ presets, mic monitoring, a mic noise gate, or surround sound settings, utilize the Turtle Beach Audio Hub companion software, which is also accessible as an app on your phone. Their microphone isolates your voice from background noise and makes it sound crisp and detailed right out of the box.

The Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 is a professional gaming headset that was built in partnership with major esports teams. External noise is blocked by the large cooling gel-infused memory foam ear cups, while the TruSpeak mic features optional mic monitoring and is remarkably clear. The SuperAmp that comes with the headset is the highlight of the package. It connects to the Turtle Beach Audio Hub software on your mobile device through Bluetooth, allowing you to switch between sound profiles, tune your game/chat mix, and even take phone calls via your phone’s Bluetooth connection. It’s a pricey gaming headset, but it’ll offer you an advantage in any online situation, and that’s something you can’t buy.

They’re not very breathable, and long gaming sessions may cause your ears to sweat. Their audio reproduction is extremely dependent on the fit, seal, and positioning of the headphones against your ears. They don’t filter out much background noise and leak a lot of sound, making them unsuitable for gaming in busy areas. They’re a good alternative for wired gaming because of their on-the-fly adjustment and comfortable fit. This is the Best Turtle Beach Headset in 2022.

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Wireless is the best Turtle Beach headset for wireless gaming. These well-made Bluetooth over-ears are available in both Xbox and PC/PS4 versions. Their 16.6-hour continuous battery life allows for numerous long gaming sessions without the need to recharge, which is a good feature. They offer an energizing, v-shaped sound profile out of the box, with a stronger emphasis on the bass range, which helps you feel the deep thump and rumble in action-packed moments. The Turtle Beach Audio Hub companion app even has a graphic EQ and presets so you can adjust their sound profile. The recording quality of their flippable boom microphone is excellent, making it simple to converse with your friends while gaming.

The Stealth 700 Gen 2 includes a slightly toned-down aesthetic (no more bright green on the Xbox edition) and a flip-to-mute mic that folds neatly into the earcup, compared to the original headset. The control buttons have been restructured and consolidated into one earcup. The buttons are generously sized and spaced, but if you’re used to the Gen 1 Stealth 700s, you may need some time to acclimate.

The Stealth 700 Gen 2 is far more comfortable than the Stealth 600 Gen 2, which is saying a lot because the latter fit my glasses-wearing head nicely but had ear cups that started to pinch after a few hours of gaming. The Stealth 700 Gen 2’s soft memory foam cushions with Aerofit cooling gel are exceptionally comfortable, allowing you to use this headset for hours upon hours of gaming.

And these headphones sound fantastic, thanks to big speakers that provide excellent all-around sound and the Audio Hub’s ability to fine-tune the audio to your preferences. To get an advantage in online shooters, enable Superhuman Hearing mode, or turn on the bass boost for some serious rumbling during a heart-pounding campaign quest. For the price, the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 is an excellent headset. This is the Best Turtle Beach Headset for Gaming in 2022.

Turtle Beach’s second-generation Stealth 600 wireless headphones are a wonderful low-cost option that operate with Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, and PC. You’ll get a lot of bang for your buck with these, with a 15-hour battery life, a comfortable fit for glasses wearers, and beautifully tuned 50mm speakers. The Xbox version’s setup was as simple as turning on the headset right out of the box and pushing the sync button on both it and my Xbox One at the same time. It quickly synchronised and began picking up my voice and in-game volume.

This is an excellent pick for cheap gaming, as the sound quality is excellent and the microphone sensitivity is good for individuals who don’t want to yell. However, due to the low price, the headset plastic seems a little poor, especially across the headband and on the ear cups, and the ear cups become rather unpleasant after a long play session (whether this is due to my oddly shaped ears or not). Mic monitoring isn’t my favourite feature because it repeats any noise I make, but it can be turned off via the Turtle Beach audio hub.

In conclusion, the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 headsets are a worthy successor to a low-cost wireless headset. It looks excellent, feels well, and sounds great, making it a no-brainer if you’re searching for a pair of headphones that won’t break the bank until the next-gen release.

  • Patented 60mm Eclipse Dual Drivers
  • Pro-level TruSpeak noise-cancelling microphone
  • AccuTune precision engineered earcup design

The Turtle Beach Recon 50X/Recon 50P is the greatest Turtle Beach headset for the money. These headphones feature a simplistic design, but they’re affordable and, because they’re wired, they provide a latency-free connection. Even if you’re gaming in a relatively busy setting, their boom mic has exceptional recording quality and noise handling, so if you’re conversing with pals as you play, your voice sounds clear and natural. They boast a warm sound profile that gives your audio more volume, making them ideal for action-packed games. They’re also fully compatible with devices that include an AUX port, such as PlayStation and Xbox consoles when connected to a controller.

Injection molding of wood composites. 60mm drivers are used. Per earcup, dedicated woofers and tweeters. It may not appear to be the recipe for crisp, accurate sound, but it all comes together in a tremendous rush of ultra-responsive bass, detailed high end, and a pleasingly flat EQ curve with just a hint of perceptible kick farther down the spectrum.

So there you have it. It’s time to take it to the bank. But there aren’t many other functions on board – this is a basic wired device with only a mic mute, detachable mic arm, and volume scroll wheel as physical controls. This new Recon is one of the latest best Turtle Beach headsets to come, so it’s not for constant tweakers. However, people who love simplicity and fundamentally superb audio should check out this new Recon as one of the latest best Turtle Beach headsets to appear.

The Turtle Beach Elite Atlas is a mid-range headset in price, but it outperforms it in practically every manner that matters. The product’s overall build quality is quite strong, and the restrained black-and-chrome design won’t draw quite as many curious glances as some of the more vivid plastic and LED-infused options on the market. Because of the Elite Atlas’ removable microphone, you could definitely wear it out in public without being recognized as a top player.

Despite this, this is still very much a gamer’s headset; the settings are adjusted for luxuriating in explosions and picking up adjacent footfall rather than appreciating the subtleties of a philharmonic orchestra or whatever. The Turtle Beach Elite Atlas has no pretenses, with no built-in surround sound and no amp or tuning support. It’s simply a superb gaming headset at an outstanding price.

Turtle Beach Recon 200 Gen 2 Powered Gaming Headset

Turtle Beach Recon 200 Gen 2 Powered Gaming Headset for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, & Xbox One,...
  • Amplified 40mm speakers for enhanced gaming audio
  • Compatible with spatial audio technologies
  • Comfortable, fabric-wrapped memory foam ear cushions

For balanced sound, the Turtle Beach Recon 200 Gen 2 is a decent choice. They feature an energising sound profile with a lot of bass boom. Their mid-range is likewise flat and neutral, which means vocalists and lead instruments are faithfully reproduced, albeit a little bright. They feature a broad and realistic passive soundstage as well, but it appears to come from within your mind rather than from speakers placed around you. They do, however, lack sound customization options that would allow you to tailor the sound to your preferences.

For wired gaming, the Turtle Beach Recon 200 Gen 2 is adequate. They boast a moderately comfortable fit, surround sound support for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and a wired construction that provides low latency. Although its flippable boom mic has excellent recording quality, it struggles to differentiate your speech from moderate ambient noise, and your voice may be drowned out by traffic noise from an open window.

The Turtle Beach Battle Buds are the best Turtle Beach gaming earbuds we’ve tried. If you don’t like over-ear headphones or want something more portable than usual gaming headsets, these wired earbuds are worth considering. They offer a removable boom mic for case you want to go for a more casual look. It has a good overall performance, so if you’re gaming with pals, they’ll be able to hear you clearly even if there’s background noise. They’re also really comfy and work with any device that has an AUX connector, so you can use them with an Xbox or PlayStation controller. They offer a very exaggerated bass response, similar to other Turtle each headphones, which adds extra thump, rumble, and punch to mixes, which can assist bring out sound effects in action-packed games.

Their bass-heavy sound muddies mixes and overwhelms vocals and lead instruments, making them unsuitable for games with a lot of dialogue. They’re also not particularly well-made, and the cord connecting the earphones seems flimsy. They do, however, have a good mic and are worth considering if you like earbuds for gaming.
