  • Enhanced Bass: Dual passive radiators and upgraded BassUp technology work in tandem to pump up the bass in real-time—even at low volumes.

The Anker Soundcore 3 is a rectangular Bluetooth speaker that looks identical to the Soundcore 2. It’s well-made and has an IPX7 rating for water resistance, though we haven’t tested it yet. Unlike the Soundcore 2, it comes with a companion app that has a graphic EQ and presets for adjusting the sound of the speaker. It also comes with a carrying strap that you can attach to the side, which is useful for taking it with you when you’re on the road. Unfortunately, it doesn’t go very loud and has compression glitches at maximum volume, so your audio may not sound as clear at higher volumes.

For music, the Anker Soundcore 3 is adequate. It struggles to recreate the deep thump and rumble in low-bass that’s commonly present in bass-heavy songs like hip-hop or EDM with its ‘Bass Up’ option switched on. Its mid-range is well-balanced, resulting in clear vocals and lead instruments. Its underdeveloped treble range, on the other hand, might make higher-pitched vocalists and instruments sound dull and veiled. Thankfully, the speaker’s companion app has a graphic EQ and presets for customizing the sound.

This speaker’s stereo sound is crisp and clear, with crystal clear highs, precise midranges, and powerful bass. The Anker Soundcore 2 delivers a lot of sound and volume for a portable speaker, making it great for individuals who enjoy to travel.

When these speakers pump out sound, you can really feel their power — they’re small speakers, but they can become very loud. The Flare 2 speaker outperforms its predecessor, the Soundcore Flare, in terms of volume and bass. You’ll appreciate listening to EDM and rock music with these speakers because vocal performances are clear and sharp.

The Anker Soundcore Flare 2’s only flaw is that it doesn’t support stereo mode, but it can be chained with other Flare 2 speakers via the app to create a larger listening soundstage. It has two ultra-high frequency tweeters, two neodymium woofers, and two passive radiators for a clear sound. We enjoy that this speaker incorporates Bass-Up technology, which boosts the overall bass response as necessary.
